Thanks to the money offered by the Families First initiative, PCDE will be running another two Cool Kids Cool Parents programs in the Eastern and Inner West Suburbs of Sydney.
COOL KIDS COOL PARENTS is about sharing the challenges of raising young children with hearing impairment. The program enables parents to reflect on their parenting practices, to explore strengths and to develop skills and confidence in their parenting role. The two day program incorporates a variety of information sharing opportunities, with lots of case studies, activities, reading material, videos and group discussions.
The program will be covering topics such as:
- Deaf Friendly Parenting
- Discipline Does Matter
- Understanding Discipline & Time Away – relationship with siblings
- Looking after yourself
